Why we do it
Forge Young Students into Leaders
Recruiting, educating, and training military service members and veterans offers a solution to the growing demand for teachers, professors, and instructors across the country, and notably more diverse teachers of various backgrounds and life experiences. The leadership skills and values honed in the military provide a strong foundation that are needed to forge young students into the next generation of leaders.
What We Do
A Pathway from the Military to Teaching
Operation Socrates is a nonprofit that provides free mentorship and guidance for active duty military, veterans, and military spouses transitioning into the profession of education. Operation Socrates links candidates to veteran friendly and qualified collegiate education programs, and K-12 school districts, Universities, and industry partners who want to hire veterans. We also help veterans and their spouses run for school boards and start their own schools.
